Wrapped up the Vickers Carbine Operator Course last Sunday...TD1 was Hot, Sunny, Humid with TD2 being Hot, Rainy, Humid.
Another good group with lots of new faces in the crowd. One thing I love about hosting courses is that I get to link up with locals and not-so-locals and breathe in that lovely smell of gunpowder...along the way I've made some incredible friendships for which I am grateful for.
LAV, also known as "Larry Vickers" was on point for this one and brought his A game with him to the Tall Corn State, AKA "Iowa". This was the 11th course of Larry's that I've attended, the 9th one I've hosted, and the 1st one I've worked with Aztec on...to say that it turned out better than I hoped is an understatement and I can easily say it was one of the best courses I've attended of Larry's. It was typical LAV from start to finish with lots of "new" mixed in which was great to see.
As my 4th Carbine Course, you would possibly think I have seen / heard it all from Larry, but that is not the case and I still picked up some things to throw in my waterproof tool box.
If you are on the fence about LAV, his courses, ETC...don't be.
